The API version exposed by a particular device can be completely different from
what is exported by the parent instance. Since Vulkan 1.1 it is also possible
to use newer device API than supported by the instance API version (with the
appropriate version checks).

As only queryResultStatusSupport can be optional,
the variable name should be more specific.
queryResultStatusSupport reports VK_TRUE if query type
VK_QUERY_TYPE_RESULT_STATUS_ONLY_KHR and use of
VK_QUERY_RESULT_WITH_STATUS_BIT_KHR are supported.

These null checkes are slightly misleading when double-checking
mutability for external language interop. None of the functions in
these files allow the variable at hand to become `NULL` under normal
operation, because they are checked at initialization and never (allowed
to be) reassigned to `NULL`.
